  Expensive!! Also so unorganised and slow at the office when collecting and dropping off. While writing this we have been waiting for 10+ minutes at the reception desk where there's 0 staff to be seen. Everything was fine with the car, but you would think with the price they charge their service would be better.

  The Darwin city Hertz: Ladies at the front desk were really good and explain everything in detail well. The not being able to go over 100km per day without being charged extra is ridiculous. Extra chargers for things like dropping the car off at a different location. Will never be renting from hertz again. Save your money and go else where.

  Had a car booked in to pick up on the 9th March and I would like to nominate Clarence for the great service she has provided. Call me on the morning to confirm that the car is ready and that I would still be coming to.pick it up.
  And still very much accommodated to my long list of questions asked.
  Great service provided, knew her work well and very much possibly tried to suit to the request of the customer

  I picked my car up from Hertz in Alice and they were amazing, making sure I had a car even though they were closed due to a public holiday. Once in Darwin I walked in to the office and handed over the key with big smiles from the young man there. The older man, however, was really quite rude in telling me that I needed to move the car and where. When I came back to again give the key, I mentioned that no matter how often you call comeone 'Madam' rudness is still rudeness, at which point he started blaming me for his rudeness. Finally, after having driven about 1600km from Alice to Darwin over 10 days, he filed a damage report for DUST in the car - not a single scratch or dent, but DUST!!

  Left stranded on the side of the road for hours and no one would answer any of the phone numbers supplied.
  Customer relations work Monday to Friday and the Darwin office never answered their phone.
  Ended up having to organise our own rescue.
  
  When told on reopening the company couldn't care less.
  Would have been better off renting an electric scooter.
  Avoid at all costs.

  Quite unpleasant personnel not even trying to be polite. I got charged AUD100 more than what was agreed on through confusing fees and taxes. When I asked at the agency why the amount of the payment authorisation was not the amount expected, they told me it was because the authorisation included an AUD100 deposit. They lied, on purpose, to confuse me and Hertz customer service was helpless, refusing to recognise I was given false information.
